a few biographical notes...
Hi there, I’m Marty. My passion for photography began with a Kodak Brownie when I was 8 years old. The fascination for making images continued to grow and eventually led me into my chosen career, television broadcasting. I enjoyed 33 wonderful years at the BBC.
I’m now retired, which allows me to concentrate more on my photography. I continue to learn and to try new things all the time. I take photos for my own fun but I have occasionally had pictures published in travel magazines, books and also some international journals and guides.
After retiring, I lived for 8 years in Thailand’s northern Lanna district around Chiang Mai. This is an area of great beauty, culture and heritage, being quite different from the rest of Thailand. During my time there, I endeavoured to document with my camera, the traditional daily life to be found there.
